EMDR Therapy in minnesota
Ready to speed up your healing?
EMDR Intensives do that.
Want to feel better soon?
You’ve done the work. You’ve learned the skills. But something is still in your way. You snap at your partner. Beat yourself up over a work project. You cry for no reason. You want to feel better now, not three years from now.
No time for weekly therapy?
You want more access, options, and flexibility when it comes to healing. Intensives are a great choice when traditional weekly therapy doesn't align with your needs or your schedule.
YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
EMDR intensives can help you accomplish in one session what may take months in traditional therapy.
What is an EMDR intensive?
An EMDR intensive is a modern approach to therapy that delivers faster results. It’s a great and powerful way to speed up your healing.
An intensive provides you the opportunity to address your symptoms, triggers and core trauma wounds in a focused way.
EMDR intensives help you feel better, faster.
Empower You Therapy offers 5-hour and 12-hour EMDR intensive programs. These programs can be repeated, as needed, to help you reach your healing goals.
We can also create a custom length of intensive EMDR program to best align with your needs.
The intensive format is for you, if you want to do deep work to uncover and move past what’s holding you back.
If you want major transformation faster, then EMDR intensive programs are for you.
The work can be intense, but the results are so worth it.

This is where the magic happens.
Each intensive session is 3 hours. We do up to 90 minutes of intense EMDR.
We can bring in additional therapy tools that work well together to provide maximum benefit and healing.
3.
Post-Intensive Integration
A week after your last intensive session, we’ll meet to debrief.
If needed, we’ll do a bit more EMDR.

In the weekly model of therapy, as much as 5 minutes (or more!) is spent at the beginning and end of each session checking in and closing down, leaving you only about 40 minutes each week to actually focus on the issues at hand. After your intensive session, it's important to practice self-care and allow yourself time to process the experience.
You may experience a range of emotions as part of the healing process, and I’m available to provide support and guidance as needed.
We will discuss follow-up sessions or additional support options based on your progress and therapeutic goals.
Treat the days surrounding the intensive like a personal retreat. Schedule activities you enjoy around your intensive, such as yoga, massage, Rolfing, etc.
